ThermoGuard PG™ - Heat Transfer Fluid

Before using, it is important to thoroughly clean your system. The unit should be free of scale, rust, sediment, and residual chlorides. Rinse the system with deionized water to remove any calcium, magnesium, chloride, and sulfate ions left behind from the flushing procedure.

ThermoGuard PG™ should be blended with deionized water to achieve the required freeze and/or burst point.

Water quality should meet the following minimum standard:

• < l ppm Magnesium
• < l ppm Calcium
• < 25 ppm Chloride
• < 25 ppm Sulfate
• < 25 ppm Silica
• Electrical conductivity (umho/cm @ 25° C) 20.0 max
• Total water hardness should be less than 68 ppm

Dilute 1 part ThermoGuard PG™ with 2 parts of deionized water by volume for a minimum 30% concentration. This is the lowest concentration recommended to prevent microbial growth in the system.

Blended solutions of ThermoGuard PG™ are designed for heating and cooling applications with an operating range of –28° to 300° F.
