Product Description

  • Displays very low surface tensions, achieving 19 dynes/cm or less depending on the specific formulation. This surfactant blend offers the lowest surface tension characteristics in 50% Caustic Soda solutions and their dilutions.
  • Quickly decreases dynamic surface tension, resulting in rapid wetting and spreading on various water-repellent surfaces.
  • Exhibits extremely low foaming properties, making it ideal for many industrial cleaning applications.
  • Soluble in 50% NaOH, 45% KOH, 25% HCl, 20% HNO3, and 85% H3PO4.
  • Suitable for use in food processing, breweries, draft beer lines, dairy, poultry, eggs, car and truck cleaning, pharmaceutical manufacturing, paint and coating strippers, oil field operations, and the pulp and paper industries, strong caustic or acidic cleaners.

Formulation Tips

For best results pHlexStream™ should be formulated at a use level of 300 ppm (or 0.030% by weight) in the cleaner’s final working solution. For example, if a 50% caustic soda-based cleaner concentrate is designed to be diluted to a 3% active sodium hydroxide level (which would indicate a 6% solution of 50% sodium hydroxide in water) then 0.5% pHlexStream™ would need to be added to the caustic soda-based cleaner concentrate in order to have a 300 ppm (0r 0.030% by weight) level of pHlexStream™ in the final use dilution with water.
